David kusuma is vice president of global research and development at Tupperware brands Corporation. He creates disruptive solutions by developing new technologies and materials to maximize product innovation. He leads the Global R & D Program at Tupperware, which includes working with global technology partners and universities to promote open innovation. Key strategic research areas include new material development, food science, cooking technology, new storage, intelligent sensors and clean water technology. Each year, Tupperware develops 150 to 200 new products and launches them in more than 100 countries around the world. Prior to joining Tupperware, David was global manager of design and vehicle engineering at General Electric plastics, developing polycarbonate as an alternative to window glass. Prior to joining Ge, he worked at Bayer Materials Sciences, where he was responsible for developing new materials and product applications, and was a member of the American Institute of industrial designers and the society of plastic Engineers (SPE).
